About Global Rate Set Systems
The founders of Global Rate Set Systems, Paul Atmore and Craig McIvor, have over twenty years' experience of working closely with industry representative bodies that represent the financial markets. Global Rate Set Systems is the official Calculating Agent of the Euribor benchmark and provides services to the European Money Markets Institute (EMMI). Global Rate Set Systems has extensive experience in developing and operating real time industry wide services for systemically important benchmarks.
GRSS has assembled a highly experienced team of professionals who have worked in Industry Associations and managed critical benchmarks in the past. This expertise can assist other Benchmark Administrators in making decisions about the best way forward in an increasingly regulated environment.
We see our role as being a facilitator, providing services and advice that complement our client’s own activities.
Craig McIvor, CEO Director
Craig is a specialist in the development and ongoing management of critically important industry benchmarks. For over 20 years, Craig has worked closely with Industry associations to create innovative data solutions. He has a strong background in information technology and services.
Craig has worked for Australian Associated Press, AAP-Reuters (managing the Reuters data business in Australia), AFMA, NZFMA and consulted to a range of Financial Markets Associations
Paul Atmore, Director
CEO of the New Zealand Financial Markets Association (since 2007). Paul has been instrumental in the development of New Zealand financial benchmarks and their distribution on a global basis. Previously Paul was Head of Markets at Westpac New Zealand, Country Manager for Reuters New Zealand, Deputy MD for Dow Jones Telerate Pacific based in Sydney and Country Manager for Telerate New Zealand. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce majoring in Economics, Marketing and Agriculture.
Steve Cheval, Director
Steven has over 25 years experience in the global financial and energy markets, commencing in London in 1986, as an institutional foreign exchange broker.
Brett Finnigan, Director
Brett co-founded HiFX Australasia in 2001 Brett, a qualified chartered accountant, has an extensive and diverse global leadership history with over 28 years experience.
Mark Beaumont, GRSS Business Manager (Europe)
Former Managing Director of Thomson Reuters Benchmark Services Limited, Mark has over 20 years experience in the financial industry and has operated as both Director (CF1) and Benchmark Administrator (CF50) as regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority.
Clive Bennett, GRSS Business Manager (Australia/Asia)
Clive has worked in the Australian financial markets for over 30 years. He was Managing Director in Sydney and Deputy Managing Director Asia for Tullett Liberty (Tullett Prebon today) responsible for all aspects of the business including voice broking and the development of automated trading and post-trade capabilities. For the last 10 years Clive was the General Manager of the Australian Financial Markets Association, the benchmark administrator for the key financial interest rate benchmark in Australia, BBSW.
Tim Dobner, Benchmark & Indices General Manager
Previously with the Australian Financial Markets Association, Tim has managed benchmark operations in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Tim is responsible for all GRSS benchmark operations globally.
Naomi Thorpe, Compliance Officer
Specialist in the compliance requirements for benchmarks services. Naomi ensures that GRSS meets all of its regulatory and contractual compliance requirements. Experienced in both internal and external audits.
